Probate

Our fees for obtaining a Grant of Probate only on a basic estate (valued at under £325,000) will cost £750 plus VAT (£900 in total), plus any disbursements incurred (see below).

For estates valued over £325,000, an increased fee may be payable depending on the complexity of the matter. We will always provide you with a no-obligation quote before carrying out any work so that you can decide how you want to proceed.

What's included?

 

• An initial appointment to discuss your matter and take instructions from you

• Completing the necessary paperwork to apply for the Grant

• Obtaining the Grant and forwarding it to you

What isn't included?

 

• The probate court fee of £273

• Office copies of the Grant - £1.50 per copy

• Bankruptcy searches - £2 per search

How long will the process take?

 

The process will typically take around 4-8 weeks although it can be longer depending on how quickly we receive all of the necessary information from you.
