Johanne is a Director of Hogans Solicitors
Johanne qualified as a solicitor at a firm in Kirkby, Merseyside in 1990. This was a general practice and as part of the training, Johanne had undertaken work in various departments including Wills and Probate, Conveyancing, Civil Litigation and Criminal Law. Johanne progressed to be the head of the Family Department (Adoption, Divorce, Injunctions, Separation). During that time Johanne qualified as a member of the Law Society Children Panel and the Law Society Family Panel.
Having been instrumental in securing the Legal Aid Franchise in family work for the firm, Johanne specialised in all areas of family work including Divorce, Ancillary Relief, Residence/Contact and Child Care work. Much of the work involved not only preparation of the cases but also substantial amounts of advocacy including appearances in the Magistrates Court, County Court and the High Court.
Johanne commented that "in 2001, an opportunity arose to join Hogans Solicitors. Hogans has always had a reputation for undertaking high quality work not only in the area of Family Law (Adoption, Divorce, Injunctions, Separation) but also in Mental Health".
Having joined the firm, Johanne initially undertook Divorce and Ancillary Relief work but now has chosen to specialise in Child Care Public Law and Private Law applications. As well as representing the children in the Public Law Proceedings Johanne also takes on the challenge of representing parents, particularly those with learning difficulties.
Johanne goes on to say that "The emphasis of the firm is to endeavour to ensure the best representation for clients, whether they be the children or parent's involved in proceedings.
