How do I know that you are specialists in the field of child care and adoption?

Six members of the firm belong to the Law Society's Children Panel. This is a Panel of Solicitors who have satisfied the Law Society (our professional organisation) that they have specialist expertise in dealing with child care and adoption cases.

Thinking of adoption - or objecting to an adoption?

Our specialist adoption case lawyers have experience in dealing with all types of adoption cases. We can help you if you are applying to adopt a child, or if you are objecting to someone trying to adopt your child.

Is it possible to adopt a child from abroad?

Adoption is allowed in some situations. However there are more legal complications. Again our specialist child care and adoption team can advise you.

How much will it cost?

For some types of children's cases, you are entitled automatically to free help and representation under the Legal Aid scheme. For other types of child care cases you will will be eligible for Legal Aid if you have a reasonable case and your income and savings are below certain limits set by the government. If not, we can still act for you, but would have to charge you for the work we do. At your initial meeting we will advise you whether you are eligible for Legal Aid and if not, what you will have to pay.
